Aloha BIUG members.
Twenty-three BIUG members met Sunday at Woodley and Julie’s home for the southern-most ukulele meeting in the United States. Once again, a big shout out to Julie for making us feel welcome and keeping us well fed.
New BIUG member Tom Russell has volunteered to take on the redesign and maintenance of our website with the help of Claudia Suen. He briefed attending members about changes to our BIUG site and invites suggestions from all member on ways to improve it. The new page should be up next month.
During the general meeting BIUG Secretary/Treasurer Bob Gleason talked about the guild finances and the upcoming October show at the Wailoa Center in Hilo.
Following the general meeting, BIUG president Woodley White demonstrated his pantograph machine, which duplicates consistent neck shaping.
Our new BIUG t-shirts and caps are now available at upcoming meetings. We are well stocked again in all sizes.
And finally, our next meeting is September 15 at Dann Roark’s shop in Kona, but this date may be advanced due to the October ukulele show, so stay tuned.
